- 1986 - Margolis office interiors, Office Furniture Sales, first job after graduating
- 1989 - Established Interiors Contract Office Furniture Limited with Mark Randall and Mike Rivers
- 1991 - Relocation to Richmond. Mike establishes Copyquest as CANON Business machines dealer
- 1996 - Company name changed to Interiors of Richmond Limited
- 1998 - Purchased Anderson & Brown Building and Property Services Company in City. Mike Rivers becomes MD of Anderson and Brown
- 1999 - Opened Interiors of Richmond City showroom. Merged Anderson & Brown into Interiors of Richmond Limited
- 2000 - Project Director for refurbishment of 22,000 sq ft at Minster Court (Trenwick Insurance)
- Nov 2003 - The Company rebrands to become IOR Group Ltd
- July 2004 - Staff number exceeds 25 full-time.
- Dec 2004 - First seven figure contract completed by IOR Group
- Feb 2005 - One2Six, our trademarked project management system, is launched. Written and developed by Mike
- Mar 2005 - Copyquest subsidiary is sold
- Apr 2005 - bought a majority shareholding in Gordon Russell furniture manufacturer. Mike becomes MD at GR.
- 2007 - Mike Designs and develops flexible ICT desk.
- Mar 2010 - Develops and writes Project 360 document.
- Jan 2010 - Wins HQ design and fit-out for Robert Walters Plc, 44,000 sq ft, £2.5m. Mike is Project Director.
